This is really ridiculous. So what if dumb fuck Paula Deen called a bunch of blacks, niggers, she's allowed to say whatever the fuck she wants. Please get off the bandwagon of hoisting blacks up as sacred cows. Guess what, blacks are black and will always be black. Jumping all over someone just because they use a different word to describe someone who has high melanin concentrations and arboreal features is retarded. However you call them: nigger, colored, porchmonkey, black, they all describe the same thing, a dark skinned person with primitive apelike features. It's completely retarded to see the evolution of vocabulary used to describe them. People like Paula Deen are not racist, they are normal. Everyone has thoughts, similar to the things she said, in their minds every once in a while. She just happened to be verbal about it. I guarantee you that pretty much everyone who is non-negroid thinks blacks are ugly as sin and are glad they weren't born black. The only exception to this are cross breeders who willingly mate with a vastly differing race, in effect destroying their original, less muddied racial line. I can also guarantee that pretty much every brown and black person is glad they weren't born white. People tend to be comfortable with others who look and act like themselves. People like the author who wrote this article are worse than Paula Deen. They hide behind this chastising rhetoric, with the feeling that they have affirmed themselves of fitting in with society's present standard of treating anyone brown or black as a poor victim. The truth is, the person who wrote this article is repulsed by blacks and browns as much as any other non black or non brown person. They would never admit this truth though, but it does lurk in their mind. No matter what people say or write, it is what they actually think in their mind that is the truth and most people are peer pressured by societal propaganda into not saying the truth. Show me any non brown or non black person who after first catching site of a really dark black, did not think to themselves, "Jesus Christ that looks like a fucking monkey". Oh I almost forgot about the slants. Chinks, dinks and gooks are as vehemently judgmental of other races as anybody else is. Thank god, I am a straight, white male. Also, this post should have been placed under your political category, since it is the progeny of "political correctness" => "political retardedness".

Lindelof was on the Nerdist Writer's podcast recently (he co-wrote the film). He alluded to the fact that this film certainly takes place in the "Alien" universe, but it stands alone as it's own chapter. Take that for what you will.

I'm so ready for The Dark Knight Rises even though I have a feeling it will run me through the emotional ringer so hard it will take weeks to recover. I'm also looking forward to Prometheus though I'm a little nervous that it will end up disappointing. I'm trying to not think of it as an Aliens movie, since it is supposed to be mostly its own thing, but I can't seem to help it.

I loved it. And I found it kind of strange that the lead actor from battleship looked like the same lead actor from John Carter.
I didn't feel like it was "cut down," just a bit sad it didn't do so well at the box office. It deserved better.

We are so full of feelings all of the time that we can act completely and totally ridiculous at the drop of a hat. Even if you are trying to be communicative and empathetic, you never know what emotional trigger might set your lady off.

It is awesome you want to help your girl, and I think you are on the right track. Someday she may want to talk about things more. But she also may not. Everyone is different. My boy-toy will say the raunchiest things while we are getting physical, but as soon as we're done he clams up like a ... well like a clam I guess. Huh, lost track of that one. Anyways, he just isn't comfortable talking about sex outside of sex. And I've learned to be okay with that.

Not everyone loves to hear themselves talk as much as I do. ;)

Be patient, be loving, be a little bit more daring and frisky as time goes on. And never forget that women are insane (I don't mean anything bad by that, I just see it as an unalienable truth of life the universe and everything so deal). First things first, I have some good news: the Stallone film you're referring to is actually Demolition Man. Your conscious can rest easy now that the weight of liking a Stallone abortion has been lifted. I, too, loved the Pet Sematary film and I agree that Spike Lee is quite the hack these days. But, High Tension was only a disappointment in the last five minutes, and, even so, that doesn't really speak upon Aja's abilities as a director; the film is perhaps the most terrifying film in the past two decades. As for Spike's re-interpretation of Oldboy, I'm biased. I have a special place in my heart for Spike. "Do the Right Thing," is one of the greatest American films of all time. I guess I'm just hoping that the right project comes along for him that sparks that same kind of creativity he had in his earlier years. Call me hopeless.

i agree with 2 out of your 4 picks. 20,000 leagues with fincher directing will be a hit. judge dredd even though i kinda liked the stallone version it should be a hit ( im still wondering how you wipe your ass with 3 shells) pet semetary i really liked, and that kid was extremely creepy which in my opinion made the movie. i do like alexander aja even if high tension was a disappointment. as for oldboy true you do lose alot in translation but anything spike lee has his hands on is laughable. especially anything with any kind of suspense in it i.e. summer of sam.
